The Atkins Diet Revolution was first published in 1972 by cardiologist Dr. Robert Atkins. It explained his findings regarding a carbohydrate-restrictive diet. He challenged the status quo, but in the face of adversity, he had facts to back him up. We've come a long way since then, and low carb is now generally accepted to be a healthy way of eating.

I personally have had a lot of success with the Atkins diet.
